Rivenhall
The ruling house of Raglan chose their home town as the seat of their power, the town of Rivenhall in the northern reaches of the world.
The small fishing town expanded in size as the followers of the empire, wanting to live near the seat of power, moved to the town, which has quickly become a city in size.
The emperors palace was constructed on the crescent hill, a ridge that runs above the river to the east of the city, as a symbol of the power that it holds. The palace contains many treasures, including the great library which occupies a great chamber beneath the palace. The library contains almost all knowledge in book form, brought in from all corners of the empire.
as the city expanded, public subscription was raised for a mighty cathedral built over the existing provincial church, and a civil works went ahead for the construction of a sewer system, a social and technical revolution which improved public health.
A city wall was also built to protect the town from any threats to the emperor, a wise decision as it prevented disaster when the Rebels besieged the city after the imposition of taxes, the rebels could not surmount the walls, and were held at bay and eventually defeated outside the city.
The emperors personal airship, Ra, can also be seen floating over the city, transporting many officials around the world, or those who don’t care for taking a transport ship from one of the two main docks in Rivenhall.
